6 Atlantic – Black Sea
The Atlantic_Black Sea Route leads 4,448 km from Nantes in France to Constanta in Rumania. In Switzerland the route leads from Basel to Stein am Rhein along the National No 2 Rhine Route of Cycling in Switzerland. It is also additionally signposted as EuroVelo Route No 6.
15 Rhine Cycle Route
The Rhine Cycle Route leads 1,320 km from Andermatt to the Hook of Holland in the Netherlands. In Switzerland this route is identical to the National No 2 Rhine Route of Cycling in Switzerland. It is also additionally signposted as EuroVelo Route No 15.
The European cycle route network
EuroVelo is a project of the European Cyclists’ Federation (ECF) to develop a network of high-quality cycling routes that connect the whole continent. The routes can be used by long-distance cycle tourists, as well as by local people making daily journeys. EuroVelo currently comprises 14 routes, some of which have already been realized. It is envisaged that the network will be completed by 2020.
Partnership European Cyclists’ Federation – Switzerland Mobility
SwitzerlandMobility is in partnership with the European Cyclists’ Federation as part of the EuroVelo project. SwitzerlandMobility holds the function of a so-called National Coordination Centre for Switzerland. SwitzerlandMobility coordinates the realisation and promotion of the quality of EuroVelo routes in Switzerland and is also responsible for web-based information on these routes.
